Procurement Officer

Sevensys Investment CC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing products, negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials required for projects and daily operations. The role requires strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced technical environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement or supply chain management, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records while delivering cost-effective purchasing solutions. Experience in the security, networking, electrical, automation, or IT industries, as well as familiarity with ERP systems such as Odoo, will be highly advantageous.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field will be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Experience within the electrical, networking, security, automation, or IT industry will be an advantage.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing.
- Experience with inventory and stock management.
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo experience will be highly advantageous).
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Google Workspace.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Ability to compare quotations and prepare purchase orders.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory control.
- Knowledge of importing goods and supplier logistics will be advantageous.

Primary Responsibilities
- Source products from local and international suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations.
- Negotiate pricing and supplier terms.
- Issue purchase orders.
- Monitor supplier lead times and deliveries.
- Maintain optimal stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock takes and inventory reconciliations.
- Monitor inventory costs and gross profit margins.
- Ensure procurement follows company policies and approval procedures.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and pricing.
- Work closely with Sales, Project Management, and Finance to ensure timely procurement.
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders and supplier performance.
- Coordinate import shipments and logistics where required.
Additional Requirements
- Valid Code B driver's licence.
- Excellent written and spoken English (Afrikaans, Oshiwambo, Herero and/or Damara will be advantageous).
- Namibian citizen or legally entitled to work in Namibia.
- Willingness to occasionally work overtime when required.
